Coeliac UK Awareness Week12th-18th May 2008: 'Food Without Fear'This year's Awareness Week campaign focuses on eating out - we want to ensure that eating out on a gluten-free diet is freed from restrictions. That means raising awareness with chefs and caterers in hospitals, schools, restaurants and cafés. Awareness Week is also a great opportunity to engage with the food sector, making our voice heard to bring about change. You can encourage your patients to take part in the Eat Out Gluten-free Challenge and encourage chefs and trainee chefs to enter the Food Without Fear recipe competition which is being judged by celebrity chef Giorgio Locatelli. Whatever you decide to do - big or small - it raises awareness of coeliac disease and helps to improve the quality of life for people on a gluten-free diet. We are very grateful for everything you do. Thank you for your continued support and good luck!
